영어 모임 주제 6주차

✅✅이번 주 주제입니다!

If you see the application like ‘숨고’, there are people who teach others certain skills even though they don’t totally excel in. yet if they are at a certain level, they can teach total beginners.

In terms of this context, If you could develop your hobby into a job, or a skill that you can teach others for money. what would it be?

It can be something you are not good at now, but something you wanna develop and can teach others later.

숨고 같은 어플을 보면 사람들이 특정 기술이 엄청나게 뛰어나지 않더라도 일정 수준으로 할 수 있다면 완전 초보자들을 가르칠 수 있습니다.

이런 맥락에서, 만약 여러분이 취미를 직업으로 발전시키거나, 어떤 기술을 다른 사람에게 돈을 받고 가르쳐줄 수 있다면 어떤 것이 있을까요?

지금 잘하지 않아도 나중에라도 발전시켜서 다른 사람을 가르칠 수 있는 것도 ok~

with practice, students can acquire better study habits.
연습을 통해 학생들은 더 나은 공부 습관을 습득할 수 있다.

the prupose of university is to acquire knowledge and critical thinking skills.
대학의 목적은 지식과 비판적인 사고 기술들을 습득하는 것입니다.


🔹 charge for sth - 요금을 청구하다.

They charge 5 bucks for a double cheese burger at MacDonald's.
맥도날드에서는 치즈버거를 5불 한다/ 받는다.

🔹 for free / free of charge - 공짜로

it’s not free of charge
그거 공짜 아니야

🔹 easier said than done - 말이야 쉽지

Eating healthy foods is unfortunately easier said than done.
건강한 음식만 먹는 것은 안타깝게도 말처럼 쉬운 일이 아니다.
